Terms and Conditions for Smint's Degusta Advent Calendar Competition

By entering the Smint’s Create your own flavour competition (the “Competition”) on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, you (the “Participant(s)”) accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

The Competition is owned and run by PERFETTI VAN MELLE – PVM UK, The Boatyard, 105 Straight Road, Old Windsor, Berkshire, SL4 2SE (the “Promoter”).

2. Eligibility

  • The competition is open to residents of United Kingdom aged 18 and over.
  • Employees of Smint, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.

3. Competition Period:

  1. The Competition begins on 27th November 2024 and ends at 11:59 PM BST on 1st December 2024. Entries submitted after this period will not be eligible.

At any time, the Competition Period can be changed by the Promoter giving to that change the same level of advertisement than the one given to these Terms and Conditions.

4. How to Enter

  • Follow Smint UK (@smintuk) official account on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok.
  • Follow Degusta Box UK (@degustabox_uk) official account on Instagram.
  • Comment (blue heart emoji) to win

5. Submission Guidelines

  • No offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content will be tolerated. Smint reserves the right to disqualify any submissions that violate these terms.
  • By entering the competition, you grant Smint the right to use, modify, and share your submission across its platforms and for marketing purposes.

6. Prizes

  • The prize for each winner includes: The Degusta International Advent Calendar (RRP of £45.99)
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.

7. Notification of Winners

  • Winners will be contacted via direct message on the social media platform they entered on within 2 days of the competition ending.
  • Winners must respond within 7 days to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond within this timeframe, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the Prize and select a replacement winner. Prizes will be sent out within 5 days after that.

8. General Conditions

  • Smint reserves the right to cancel, amend, or suspend the competition at any time without notice in case of unforeseen circumstances.
  • By entering the competition, participants agree to release Smint from any liability, including personal injury or damage caused by acceptance or use of the prize.

9. Privacy

  • Any personal data collected during the competition will be used solely for the purposes of administering the competition and in accordance with Smint’s Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

The Competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with the Competition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Social Media Disclaimer

This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, TikTok or Facebook. Participants agree to release Instagram from any liability related to the Competition.
